Jilly Of the Valley

Unique and Amazing Floral Arrangements

for Every Occassion

Design Notes:

Clean, simple, and to the point.

Jilly of the Valley provides custom floral arrangements for a variety of occasions, and having a website that didn't show too much while still encouraging visitors to reach out was the goal.

The website underwent two face lifts  – the first being a prototype to figure out what we didn't want, and the second being the fine-tuned edition. The result is a dynamic website that looks clean and inviting, uses crisp fonts and colors, is mobile friendly, and showcases Jill's talents through slideshow presentations of her unique floral designs. In comparison to other floral websites, this is truly a breath of fresh air.

If you're in the market for holiday flowers or arrangements for special events such as weddings or parties, I highly encourage you to check out Jilly of the Valley!

Noteworthy Features:

The Mistery Machine, Show Registration Demo

Simple, Elegant Design: Using crisp, clean, serif fonts gives this website a truly polished, classic look. Simpler is always better, especially when trying to show that your work radiates elegance. Parallax scrolling keeps visitors on every page, an easy to navigate menu helps them find exactly what they're looking for, and light colors and slideshow presentations make Jill's work pop of the screen.

Beautiful Presentations: Slideshows and grid galleries are the best way to showcase a variety of work. When it comes to floral arrangements, it's the only way. The website takes advantage of full width slideshows and grid galleries in order to show off a beautiful collection of vibrant arrangements that truly wows visitors.

Easy to Manage:

This website is fully customizable, and adding more photos to the slideshows and galleries is as easy as loading them straight from your desktop.

Mobile Friendly:

This website is extremely mobile friendly, giving users the opportunity to find exactly what they're looking for without having to navigate a nearly-invisible menu system.

Online Store Capabilities:

Should Jill ever decide to sell her services and/or arrangements online, a few clicks would transform her website into an online store from which she could take orders, keep inventory, and send her arrangements across the country.

Conclusion:

Right off the bat, Jill gave me a lot of creative leeway with redesigning her site. Seeing her previous site (built through WordPress), I knew that she would be better served with a web builder that focuses on showcasing images.

After some creative discovery and building a few prototype sites, we managed to work out a site design that I believe really highlights her exquisite work.

I'm excited for her moving forward as she takes her business online!
